Privacy Policy

Overview

TagPilot AI helps Shopify merchants organize product catalogs, generate product tags, improve product data, and provide product discovery experiences. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is used, and the choices available to merchants.

Information we process

The app processes store and product information needed to provide its features, including shop identifiers, product titles and descriptions, product types, variants, inventory availability, images and alt text, product tags, and app configuration. It also stores AI tagging candidates, product-processing state, job and activity logs, billing and usage counters, and Shopify app sessions.

TagPilot AI does not store Shopify customer profiles, customer addresses, order records, or payment card information. Storefront assistant analytics use privacy-conscious identifiers. Raw shopper questions are not retained in analytics, and anonymous interaction records expire according to the merchant's configured retention period.

How information is used

We use the information described above to:

• generate, review, and maintain product tags and product type suggestions;
• build and maintain the merchant's searchable product catalog index;
• match shopper requests with relevant and available products;
• operate billing, usage limits, security controls, and service health checks;
• diagnose errors and improve the reliability of app workflows.

Service providers

TagPilot AI uses trusted infrastructure and AI service providers to operate the application, including Google Cloud, Neon, Shopify, and OpenAI. These providers process only the information required to deliver their services and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Retention and deletion

We retain app configuration and operational records while a merchant uses TagPilot AI or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When Shopify sends a shop-redaction request after an uninstall, records associated with that shop are deleted in accordance with Shopify's requirements. Mandatory customer privacy requests are acknowledged; the app does not retain customer personal data covered by those requests.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted network connections, managed secrets, request verification, and restricted production infrastructure to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we continuously maintain safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service.

Merchant choices

Merchants can review AI suggestions before applying them, reject or clear manual decisions, configure automatic product updates, control assistant features, and uninstall the app at any time. Privacy-related requests can be sent to the contact address below.
